Differences
Between Wedding Ceremony Styles
Non-Denominational Christian
Ceremony
The Non-Denominational Christian
Ceremony includes a reading from the Holy Bible, prayers &
blessings, and mentions God in the ceremony. This is the wedding
ceremony style that is performed by all other wedding companies
in Hawaii.
"Civil-Styled" Ceremony
The "Civil-Styled" Ceremony does not
include any mention of God, or any religion. This is the same
ceremony style that a judge would perform in their chambers and
is suggested for non-religious couples, or inter-faith couples.
Catholic Ceremony
The Catholic Ceremony is the exact same
ceremony performed by the Roman Catholic Church and all other
Catholic Churches.
This ceremony style is suggested for Roman Catholic couples who
want the same formality and beauty of the Catholic Wedding
ceremony, but who want to have their ceremony performed
outdoors, or in any other location other than inside the Roman
Catholic Church. The ceremony is performed by an Ecumenical Catholic
Archbishop or priest. Rental of a prayer kneeler is required. This
ceremony is approximately 45 to 60 minutes long and includes
mass.
Roman
Catholic Ceremony
The Roman Catholic ceremony is for Roman Catholic couples who
want the Roman Catholic Church to recognize the wedding. Prior
approval must come from the parish priest of the bride's home
parish, the the bishop of the bride's home diocese, then finally
the bishop of the Honolulu diocese. This process needs to be
started 1 year before the desired wedding date. This
ceremony is approximately 45 to 60 minutes long and may include
mass.

from the Holy Bible, prayers & blessings, and mentions God in
the ceremony. This is the same style of ceremony performed by
the Roman Catholic Church, Episcopal Church, and Church of
England. The ceremony is performed by an Ecumenical Catholic
