Ceremony
The Sand Ceremony is similar to the Unity
Candle Ceremony where the bride and groom are represented by two
separate vials of colored sand. During the ceremony while the
officiate describes the meaning of the sand ceremony, the bride and
groom will at the same time, pour their vials of sand into the
center container, which symbolizes their two lives becoming one.
If your wedding ceremony takes
place at a beach, we will also add a handful of sand from the beach
where your ceremony takes place into the bottom of the center
container. This way, when you return home, you will take a small
piece of Hawaii with you, and your sand which symbolizes each of
you, will be mixed with the sand from Hawaii forever.
We can also incorporate your children into
the sand ceremony by having each child also add a small container of
sand into the center container, symbolizing the whole family
becoming one.
